Don't replace that DENSO starter.
If your starter is clicking a few times but then turns over normally it most likely just has bad contacts. Occasionally the problem can be the wiring or the ignition switch. If so you may need to install a relay.
Starter contacts for Nippon Denso starters. on Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Honda, Subaru, Geo, Toyota, Lexus & many others.
The replacement starters you buy from the auto parts store or discounters are cheap copies that won't last half as long as an original DENSO. Denso starters rarely need more than new contacts & plunger. If your starter clicks a few times then starts fine, this is most likely the problem. Easy to change and a lot less money than a new starter. Email us your Make, Model, Year, engine and transmission . We will email you back the correct required part numbers. larrybuckinc@gmail.com

Measure the diameter of the copper bolts that connect the battery cable to the starter solenoid and the solenoid to the starter motor. Remove the rear solenoid cover. It's then pretty easy to recognize the contacts you have by the pictures (click picture for larger view). You could order below if you know which parts you need. Or you can email us your Make, Model, Year,

OTHER REPLACEMENT PARTS
Occasionally a loose battery cable at the starter can cause arcing/corrosion and the stud may be damaged causing difficult removal. I have seen cases where the only way to remove the cable is by cutting the stud off with a hacksaw. Yours is probably fine, but if not, this is what you need.
